Cannes and Milan sit on opposite sides of the same coast: the Croisette to the Duomo, about 380 kilometres and four hours of French motorway then the Italian A10. There is no high-speed train between them. A private Cannes to Milan transfer costs a fixed €485 and takes about four hours door to door — the same price and the same time coming back.

The usual route leaves Cannes on the A8 towards Italy, crosses at Ventimiglia, then follows the A10 through Sanremo and Genoa before turning north on the A7 into Milan. In clear traffic the drive is comfortably around four hours. The bottlenecks are Genoa’s ring and the evening crawl into the city, not the border itself.
We schedule around that. If you have a 10 AM appointment near the Duomo, leaving Cannes at 6 AM is worth more than any shortcut on the map.

We are not a taxi. In France a taxi charges by the meter; we are a private hire service, so the price is agreed before you sit down. On 380 km a meter, if anyone takes the job, lands somewhere between €650 and €900. The booked car is €485 either way.
The train is the other comparison people actually make. Direct it is not: Cannes to Ventimiglia, then along the Ligurian coast, then a change for Milan. Five hours is optimistic. A flight from Nice looks faster until you add the airport run, security and the 50 km from Malpensa. Door to door the car usually wins on time, and it wins on luggage.
Sanremo is the first Italian stop worth naming, about two hours from Cannes. Genoa’s port and the A7 interchange come next. If you want a coffee on the seafront or a look at Genoa without turning the day into a tour, say so when you book: the price stays €485, we just leave a little earlier.
Drop-off is the address you send. Hotel by the Duomo, Milano Centrale for a onward train, Porta Nuova for a meeting, Linate if you fly out of the city airport. Malpensa is not “around the corner” — it is a separate 45-minute run from the centre. Write the terminal if that is the destination.
