We are not a taxi company. In France a taxi charges by the meter; we are a private hire service, so the price has to be agreed in advance. Nice Airport to Courchevel is a four-hour alpine run. A metered taxi typically comes to €550–750, and the final figure is only known on arrival because of the Saturday queues into the three valleys.
That is why almost everyone booking this route in advance pays less than they would in a taxi, and knows the number before the flight lands.
Geneva (GVA) is the closest major airport, about 2h 15min, €150. Turin (TRN) is similar, €140. Nice (NCE) is longer, about 4 hours, €405, but it is the natural choice if you are combining the Riviera with a week in Les 3 Vallées, or if your flight already lands there.
We meet all three. If the chalet is in 1850 the last kilometres are steep; the driver knows the one-way system and where to unload without blocking the piste-side hotels.
