Villefranche-sur-Mer is one of the most beautiful natural harbours on the entire Mediterranean coast, and it sits just a short drive east of Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. The waterfront is lined with pastel façades, fishing boats, and restaurants serving the morning’s catch. The small Chapelle Saint-Pierre was decorated by the artist Jean Cocteau and is a quiet, unexpected gem right on the quay.
Just around the bay, the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula is home to the spectacular Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and its themed gardens, plus coastal walking paths with views over some of the most exclusive real estate in Europe. It makes an easy half-day add-on to your transfer.
