Nice Côte d’Azur is the third busiest airport in France and the one most Riviera holidays start at. It has two terminals, and the question people type into their phone on the plane is always the same: where exactly will the driver be standing when I come out?
The short answer: in the arrivals hall, right after baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name — the same in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Below is what that looks like in practice, how the reserved-car area differs from the taxi rank, and what happens when the flight is late.
Your terminal is printed on the boarding pass and shown in the airline’s app. Terminal 2 handles most scheduled and long-haul flights, Terminal 1 the rest — but airlines are moved between the buildings from one season to the next, so the boarding pass is the only source worth trusting.
It matters less than people fear. The terminals are about a kilometre apart and connected by a free shuttle and by the tram, which costs nothing for that hop. When you book with us, the terminal comes from your flight number, so there is nothing for you to work out.
You land, walk down to baggage reclaim, collect your bags and go through the sliding doors into the public arrivals hall. That hall is where meeting drivers stand. It is one open space with cafés along one side, so you do not need directions: come out, and the people holding signs are in front of you.
Our driver is there before you are, because the arrival time we work from is the real landing time, not the schedule. He takes the heavy case, and the car is a two-minute walk away.
Terminal 1 is smaller and the walk is shorter, but the layout is the same: baggage reclaim, sliding doors, arrivals hall, drivers with signs. Because the building is compact, people sometimes walk straight past the meeting point and out to the kerb. If that happens, stop where you are and call — the number is in your confirmation, and the driver comes to you.
The overhead signs in arrivals point to several different things, and they are easy to mix up. “Taxis” is the rank where metered taxis queue — you take whichever car is at the front and the meter decides the fare. “Taxis / VTC réservés — Ride app Pick-up”, next to the Parking Pro entrance, is where pre-booked private cars and ride apps stop. P1, P2 and PG1 are the car parks, for anyone meeting you in their own car.
By default we meet you inside with a sign, which costs nothing extra and is easier with children or several suitcases. If you travel light and would rather walk straight out, we can wait at the reserved-car area instead — say so when you book and the driver will be there.
Delays are the reason most people give up on booking a car and end up in the taxi queue. They should not be. We follow the flight number, so the pickup time moves with the plane: if you land two hours late, the driver arrives two hours later. The first hour after landing is free, which comfortably covers passport control and a slow baggage belt.
Night landings are the same. The airport is quiet after midnight, the rank thins out and the buses have stopped, so a car booked in advance is the difference between leaving at once and waiting forty minutes with your luggage.
The price is for the whole car and is agreed before you book. It covers both terminals, all tolls and one hour of free waiting after your plane lands.

Price per car, not per person. A sedan takes up to 4 passengers with luggage; a Mercedes V-Class takes up to 7 and costs more — ask when booking.
If a friend is collecting you, the kerb outside arrivals is for setting down only and is watched closely. The car parks — P1, P2 and PG1 on the signs — are a short walk from both terminals and the first minutes are inexpensive. Arranging to meet inside the hall rather than circling the building saves both of you a lap of the airport.
Three things, and they take a minute: the flight number, so we can track the landing; the destination address, so the price is fixed before you travel; and the number of passengers and bags, so the right car turns up. Child seats are free and need to be asked for in advance.
You can send all of it on WhatsApp, and we reply with the price and a confirmation. Nothing is paid up front — you settle with the driver at the end of the ride.
Where does the driver meet me at Nice Airport?
In the arrivals hall, just after you come out of baggage reclaim, with a sign showing your name. This is the same in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. If you would rather not walk through the hall, we can meet you at the kerb instead — tell us when you book.
How many terminals does Nice Airport have?
Two: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. They are separate buildings about a kilometre apart, and your terminal is printed on your boarding pass.
Which terminal will my flight arrive at?
Your boarding pass and your airline’s app both show it, and it is on the arrivals board before you land. As a rough rule, Terminal 2 handles most scheduled and long-haul traffic and Terminal 1 the rest, but airlines move between the two, so trust the boarding pass rather than a list.
What is the VTC pickup area at Nice Airport?
It is the zone signposted “Taxis / VTC réservés — Ride app Pick-up”, next to the Parking Pro entrance. Pre-booked private cars and ride apps stop there. The taxi rank is separate and is signposted simply “Taxis”.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing on your side. We track the flight and the driver arrives when the plane actually lands, not at the time you booked. The first hour of waiting after landing is free.
Do you meet night flights?
Yes, around the clock. Night landings are one of the reasons people book in advance: after midnight the taxi rank empties and public transport has stopped for the night.
How do I get from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2?
